I have this terrible habit of leaving my heart everywhere. Well... mostly California. This time I traveled to California to attend a good friends wedding. She and her fiancé were to be married in Yosemite National Park but because the Government was shut down they had to have the ceremony elsewhere. It turned out to be absolutely perfect and they snuck into the park regardless for photos in the early morning. Check these babies out! Photographed by Jessica and Tyler Bowen of Bird On A Wire Photography. Wonderful married couple that take fabulous photos! I was so blessed to be able to see my gorgeous friend tie the knot. I love you Chrissy pants!
The rest of my travels were with Sara Bush and her crazy lil nugget Evangeline. We saw San Francisco, Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, Fresno and spent some soul searching time in the Sierra National Forest huffing the crisp pines. Here are some of my memories of a great trip with one of my closest friends. So grateful for this time.
Until next time California.
This past weekend I attended the Newport Folk Festival in Newport Rhode Island. To try and put my experience into words is a daunting task. It was magnificent, freeing, beautiful and challenging. I will never do it justice with words so here are some photos of my time.
I had time on the 7 hour ride home to put my thoughts together and this is what I posted to Facebook:
My grandma has always had the greatest cherry tree ever. They are sour cherries and if you can beat the birds to them you are in for a treat. As a kid my siblings and I used to sell them by the road.
