A new place to miss:

I have this terrible habit of leaving my heart everywhere. Well... mostly California. This time I traveled to California to attend a good friends wedding. She and her fiancé were to be married in Yosemite National Park but because the  Government was shut down they had to have the ceremony elsewhere. It turned out to be absolutely perfect and they snuck into the park regardless for photos in the early morning. Check these babies out! Photographed by Jessica and Tyler schenke of Bird On A Wire Photography. Wonderful married couple that take fabulous photos! I was so blessed to be able to see my gorgeous friend tie the knot. I love you Chrissy pants!

The rest of my travels were with Sara Bush and her crazy lil nugget Evangeline. We saw San Francisco, Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, Fresno and spent some soul searching time in the Sierra National Forest huffing the crisp pines. Here are some of my memories of a great trip with one of my closest friends. So grateful for this time.

Elephant Seals!

Evangeline liked them... even though they make bark/fart noises.

Funny story... I started yelling at this guy to see what he would do...

He did this and I laughed for about 5 min.

To the forest!

My heart will never be far from here.

Unreal.

Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends.
You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things: air, sleep, dreams, sea, the sky - all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.

Until next time California.
